The ACCF site, located one mile west of Canyonville in southern Douglas County, is open to school groups and teachers as part of our Story of Your Place curriculum. It’s also periodically open for fun education events open to the public; see upcoming events and plan to join us! Unfortunately, the site is not open at this time for hikes or visits outside of these organized events.
We have a variety of resources available on this website to make school visits and public events on the ACCF site more enjoyable—or, to experience our site online if you can’t visit it.
- We offer over 3.5 miles of signed trails, with maps and recommended hikes. See also our general trails info, tips on finding your way, and our dog policy.

- ACCF site vegetation is diverse due in part to topography. See our virtual tour game to experience this diversity, and stay tuned for panoramic images offering you a 360° view from various parts of the forest.
- ACCF has a series of Landsat plots on the site for purposes of field data collection and to zoom out to larger scales.
- The ACCF site also has a weather station, which you can view online.
