11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Alder Creek Community Forest
An important part of understanding a place is the physical features and processes that make it up. In this workshop we will teach you how to use scientific instruments to investigate your place. We will be using a standard method of taking measurements defined in the GLOBE protocols. At the conclusion of this workshop teachers will know how to take scientific measurements, be certified in appropriate GLOBE protocols, and understand what they will need to do to take scientific measurements with their students.
Come prepared for a day in the forest with long pants, closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, and warm clothing. We will be providing lunch so make sure to fill out the registration form so we know who is coming and what their dietary needs/restrictions are.
