Join Alder Creek Community Forest for a workshop about using “Telling the Story of Your Place”, our free K-12 program, in your classroom this year.
In this workshop teachers will learn about the Telling the Story of Your Place program and be guided in preparing to complete steps 0 and 1 with their students. The first two steps help students to choose and define a place, learning a little about it, and then asking some questions that will guide their process.
Teachers will come away from this workshop with 5 PDUs, resources and training for integrating subjects into this program, a network of other teachers participating in this program, and a light lunch!
What is Telling the Story of Your Place?
Telling the Story of Your Place is a program where students INVESTIGATE a place, CREATE a story about their place, and then SHARE that story with others.
Please let us know if you are coming so we can prepare food for you. We hope to see you there!
